What was your introduction to horology?
In any real sense, it was Swatch. Yep, the plastic quartz, the Swiss watch industries answer to the watch crisis. I still collect them to this day and i have, let us say, an unreasonable number of them.
What was your first watch?
As a kid, a Swatch watch. As an adult, an Omega Seamaster 300 blue wave dial. I still own both.
What fascinates you most about watches and/or horology in general?
The intricacy and shapes.
What are the kiss, kill, and marry of your collection?
Kiss: Omega Alaska Project
Kill: Hamilton Pulsomatic
Marry: Omega PloProf
Name one watch that got away.
Omega Speedmaster Apollo - Soyuz 1975
What watch do you wear most often?
Truthfully, an Apple Watch Edition series 3. I double wrist everyday, and my left wrist always has that on it; the right wrist always changes. Love them, or loath them, it's damn well made and very useful.
What is the first thing you notice about a watch?
If it has been cared for.
How were you introduced to RedBar Group?
How has RedBar affected you as a collector?
It’s made me worse. I keep being introduced to things I want.
Outside of collecting how has RedBar impacted your life?
Socially. I have people I call true friends. It crosses social divides.
