This week we have an Atom Moore macro of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon with the new lacquered blue dial from SIHH 2019. Many watch collectors are well versed with the Overseas collection by Vacheron Constantin but this new 2019 SIHH debut proves to any who view it why Vacheron Constantin has well earned its reputation. It features their signature logo, a Maltese cross they adopted in 1877, as a part of the tourbillon stationed at the 6’oclock aperture. Vacheron Constantin chose the Maltese cross because of its similarity to a signature piece within their mechanics that reduced the number of wheels needed for winding. Now, most of us watch collectors know is more for its horological implications than its older connections to the First Crusade.
