Macro Monday: Andreas Strehler Trans-axial® Remontoir Tourbillon
Atom Moore has beautifully captured a macro of the Andreas Strehler Trans-axial® Remontoir Tourbillon this week. Coming in at only 32mm it has great on the wrist factor. Andreas Strehler is known for a few unique endeavors, featured on this watch, that further the quality of their work including their hand wound escapement using their conical gear wheels and small differential gear that indicates power reserve. First shown at Baselworld 2018 this piece quickly stood out as a quality contender. A fascinating detail to notice is that while the front is a beautiful asymmetrical use of space, the back as seen through the display case aperture is nearly fully symmetrical. With 250 individual parts this tourbillon is truly a marvel to behold.
