Announcement: Relaunch of Collectors' Perspective
RedBar started out with a couple of passionate collectors, and has evolved into over 50 chapters around the world. We have always looked at watches and the watch industry through that lens - by collectors, for collectors. (One can say enthusiasts instead, but there’s less of a ring to it.) When we were naming our blog a few years ago and talking about the viewpoint that would be represented here, the name quickly became clear: Collector’s Perspective.
The intent of the blog from the start was to have multiple contributors from around our global community, talking about what brought them to this hobby of ours, what they think about new watches, what’s going on in their local enthusiast communities, and all other things horological. We’ll be honest here - it took a little longer than we intended to get there, but we are proud to announce the relaunch of our website!
You can look forward to starting your week off with Macro Monday with a weekly dose of close-up horological eye candy, checking out a Member Spotlight feature midweek highlighting a RedBar member and their story, and the weekly RedBar Roundup with links to both our content and other watch-related content from around the web. We’ll also have recaps of events as well as a regular “On the Table” feature with watches from RedBar gatherings around the globe. Coverage of trade shows like Baselworld, SIHH, and COUTUREtime will continue apace, as well as dispatches from upcoming consumer-facing shows like WatchTime, Windup, and SalonQP.
We’re very excited to bring the world of local RedBar gatherings to the forefront and shine a light on what our chapters are up to.
